Why doesn't AI search recommend your brand?
Your customers have started asking AI search who to buy from, and it names a few brands. You have no way of knowing whether yours is one of them.
We find out, using the same prompts your customers use, and tell you exactly what to change.

One fixed fee, agreed before we start. Not a retainer.
Measured across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity.
Can AI search even read your website?
AI search crawlers don't run JavaScript and they obey your robots.txt. Plenty of sites that look perfect to a person hand them a blank page. Thirty seconds, and you see exactly what they receive from yours.
Crawler by crawler, plus the exact text they get. Nothing installed, nothing stored.

See how AI search sees your brand
You cannot see this channel. There is no ranking to check, nothing lands in your analytics, and the customers you lose in it never arrive to tell you they went somewhere else.
That is the real problem, and it is worse than being invisible: a business that knows it has a problem can fix it. A business that cannot see the channel is guessing with its marketing budget.
You get the full picture: your visibility, your position, how you're described, and the sources AI search relies on. Which brands get named in your place, and what they have that you don't. Whether the product AI reaches for is the one you'd have sold that customer. Then the short list of what to change, in order.
You built something good. The uncomfortable part of this shift is that being good is no longer enough to be found, and nobody sends you a notification about it.
How it works
- A 20-minute callWhat decision the report should inform, which markets and languages matter, what you already suspect is wrong. That is the whole brief.
- One fixed fee, agreed in writingNo access to your site, your analytics or your accounts. We work from what any customer can see.
- We run the prompts your customers useBy a person, in your markets and languages, across the AI search platforms your customers use. Each one recorded with its date and conditions, then repeated.
- You get the report and a sessionWhat is said about you, who gets named instead, which product gets chosen, and the short list of what to change first. We walk you through it and prioritise together.
Built for founder-led brands the agencies have priced out
Most agencies in this category sell monthly retainers running into the thousands. That model assumes you have a marketing department and a year of patience.
If you are a ten-person business you are not their customer, and you are the one most exposed, because you have no idea whether AI knows you exist.
One fixed fee. One piece of work. No retainer to sign before you know whether there is a problem worth solving.
Questions founders ask us
The ones that come up on nearly every call, answered the way we would answer them in the room.
Why doesn't ChatGPT recommend my business?
Usually because you are not in the pool it draws from. When someone asks AI search who to buy from, it assembles a short candidate list out of what it can retrieve and what independent sources say, then picks from that list. A business can rank perfectly well on Google and never enter the list at all.
Three causes come up again and again: nothing you own states plainly what you do and who it is for; nobody independent corroborates it; or you are in the list and AI has a reason to pick someone else. They need different fixes, and guessing between them is expensive.
A report tells you which of the three is yours, with the evidence for it.
How does AI search decide which brands to recommend?
In stages, and being found is only the first one. AI search expands your customer's question into several queries of its own, retrieves pages, cites some of them, and then writes an answer that may or may not reflect what it cited. Being retrieved, being cited, being mentioned and being recommended are four different outcomes. Visibility is only the first.
It is easy to assume you are at stage four when you are at stage one, and the fix for each stage is different.
A report places you at each stage, so you stop solving the wrong problem.
Why does AI search describe my brand wrongly?
Because it is assembling a description out of whatever the web says about you, weighted toward sources it trusts more than your own homepage. Wrong descriptions often trace to a specific origin: an old directory entry, a page title you wrote years ago and forgot, a press mention carrying a stale fact.
That is better news than it sounds. A wrong description with a findable source is correctable. A vague one with no source is the harder case.
A report traces the description back to where it came from.
Why does AI search recommend the wrong product from my range?
Because it is matching what the customer said against your product data, and your best-fitting product often does not say the thing the customer said. AI search works from attributes, descriptions and structured data. They do not have your internal knowledge of your own range.
This is the most expensive failure and the most invisible one. The customer buys something. It is the wrong thing, or it is from someone else, and nothing in your analytics ever tells you.
A report shows which of your products get chosen, for which needs, and why the others do not.
Why do smaller competitors get recommended instead of me?
Often because they answer a constraint you leave implicit. The businesses that surface in your place are frequently not the ones you consider rivals commercially, which is why this is hard to predict from the inside.
They tend to be the ones whose pages say the specific thing the customer asked about: a material, a size range, a country they ship to, a use case. Where your page says something more general, and better written.
A report names them, by customer need, and shows what they have that you do not.
Can you make AI search recommend my brand?
No, and nobody can. There is no ranking dial, no paid placement inside these answers, and the platforms change behaviour without notice.
What can be done is better evidenced: make the business technically possible to retrieve at all, state the decisive facts plainly on pages that exist to answer one question each, and get those facts corroborated by sources that are not you. Then measure whether it moved. Anyone offering you a guarantee here is selling you something else.
What actually improves a brand's AI visibility?
Whether you can be retrieved at all. Pages blocked to AI search crawlers, content that only appears after JavaScript runs, duplicated language versions, missing product data. This is unglamorous, and nothing else matters until it is right.
What your own pages say. One page doing one job, opening with the answer, carrying the decisive facts in the words customers actually use rather than the words your industry uses.
What other sources say about you. Your own pages say what you are; independent sources make it believable. They do different jobs, and it is easy to work only on the first.
A report puts your specific problems in order, which is rarely the order they feel urgent in.
How long before anything changes?
Weeks for retrieval fixes to be picked up. Longer for anything that depends on other people's pages, because it depends on other people.
We plan in ninety-day blocks and re-test the same questions under the same conditions at the end of them. We do not forecast a curve, because nobody can honestly forecast one on platforms that change this often.
How would I know if it worked?
By asking the same questions again, the same way, and comparing the answers. That only works if the first set was recorded properly, which is why the method is published.
Where your own platforms expose it, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools also report real impressions and citations for your pages. Part of an honest answer is what cannot be proved: there is no rank to track here, and we will tell you which of your questions the evidence cannot settle.
What does it cost?
One fixed fee, quoted and agreed in writing before any work starts. There is nothing to sign afterwards and no monthly commitment.
We quote it on the call, once we know the markets, languages and surfaces worth testing for you. If the number does not work for you, you have lost twenty minutes.
Is my brand too small for this?
Almost certainly not, and the assumption that it is costs businesses this size the most.
A brand with a clear offer and real customers is exactly what AI search can get wrong, because there is enough about you to describe and not quite enough to describe you accurately. If we do not think a report is worth it for you, we will say so on the call rather than sell you one.
Is this just SEO?
It overlaps, and anyone telling you it is a completely separate discipline is overselling. For Google's AI answers in particular, the ordinary foundations still carry most of the weight.
What is different is that we look at the conversations rather than the rankings: what AI search says about you in sentences, which of your products they reach for, what they get wrong, and who they name instead of you. A rank tells you a position. An answer tells you what a customer was told.
What do you need from me?
Twenty minutes, and answers to a few questions about what you want to achieve.
No access to your site, your analytics or your accounts. Nothing to install. We work from what any customer can see, which is the point: that is all AI search sees either.
How do you know any of this is true?
Because every claim is labelled, and you can check each one. Findings are marked as observed, as verified against an independent source, as our interpretation, as a hypothesis worth testing, or as unknown.
The conditions, dates and method are published in the report, and so are the limits. A finding from one conversation is not presented as a pattern. Read the method.
After the report
You are not signed up to anything. When the report lands you choose.
Take it in-house
The walkthrough and the prioritisation session are included. If you have someone who can do the work, you now have the brief. Clients stopping here is a fine outcome.
Have us specify the work
We turn the report into build-ready instructions for your team or your web agency: what to change, in what order, what done looks like.
Have us do it
We coordinate the programme and run the measurement.
Monitoring, if you want it, is a quarterly re-run against the same tests with a short report of what moved. Available on top of any of the three, never required.
See where your brand stands in AI search.
Twenty minutes, nothing installed, and you will know whether this is worth doing.
We also build first versions of products, for and with other people. That work.
